Icarus's log entry 160

Goal:  Be the first  bender to go into space

                                                                                                  Failure #98

Another failure, this time It was because I lost consciousness before I made it to space. I can't remember allot of what happened before I went unconscious but what I do remember is the feeling of what I can only imagine drowning feels like, a struggle for air followed by  a floating sensation. When I  regained consciousness the feeling of floating quickly turned to that of falling. I tried using some rocket flames to control the fall but my arms could barely make a spark. Luckily my fear of hitting the fast approaching ground was more powerful than the weakness I felt in my arms. I managed to set off a few fire burst that slowed me down just enough before hitting the ground for the impact to not kill me. However I still ended up with a broken arm and a few scratches, but that's nothing a cast and a couple bandages can't fix.  Looking back, the plan of  entering space then returning to earth by slowing my descent with some rocket flames before landing safely back on the ground turned out to be as stupid as it first sounded in my head.....

Notes
• Start wearing a parachute again, it's worth the excess weight.
• Increase endurance training.
